Acceptable use policy

What counts as acceptable use of WemaHub, in addition to our terms of service.

Last updated 29 August 2026 · WemaHub Limited, Nairobi, Kenya

Section 1

What WemaHub is for

WemaHub exists so welfare groups, chamas, saccos and similar associations can run genuine member contributions, welfare cases and beneficiary payouts transparently. This policy sets out what counts as acceptable use of the service, in addition to the Terms of service.

Section 2

Account and access rules

Keep account use limited to the people it is meant for.

Do not share a sign-in between multiple people — each official and member gets their own.

Do not create a group, case or member record for a group you are not authorised to represent.

Officials must remove a person's access promptly once they leave office or the group.

Section 3

What may not be collected or sent through WemaHub

Do not use the register, case names, announcements or messaging features to:

Collect money for a case or beneficiary that does not genuinely exist.

Add a person to a register without their knowledge or consent.

Send harassing, threatening, defamatory or fraudulent messages to members.

Store personal data unrelated to the group's welfare or contribution activity.

Section 4

Protecting the platform

Do not attempt to:

Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of WemaHub's systems without our written permission.

Interfere with or disrupt the service, or the servers or networks connected to it.

Access another group's data, or attempt to bypass access controls or authentication.

Reverse engineer, decompile or resell the service without a written agreement with us.

Section 5

Payments and M-Pesa use

Use the payment features only for genuine contributions and payouts tied to a real welfare case or project. Using WemaHub to move money for purposes unrelated to group welfare activity, or to disguise the source or purpose of funds, is not permitted.

Section 6

What happens if this policy is broken

Depending on the severity, we may warn the group's officials, suspend the account, remove specific content, or close the group entirely — with notice and a chance to explain wherever we reasonably can, sooner where money or member safety is at risk.

Report suspected misuse of a group's account, or of the platform generally, to hi@wemahub.com.
